Munich (München) is the capital of the State of Bavaria - a prosperous region in the south of Germany with a long history of fine beer and delectable food.

Café Munich is proud to bring you the taste of Bavaria - the traditional food you could expect if you visited this state. While some of the dishes can be experienced in other parts of Germany, many have their origins in Bavaria.

Café Munich's chef, Elke, grew up in the Bavarian village of Dasing, at a time when traditional food was the norm and Burger King had not yet come to town.

After training in Germany and Switzerland, she worked in several four and five star European Hotels before moving, first to Australia and then to New Zealand.

Thirty years of experience as a chef, German training and the understanding gained from growing up in Dasing enables her to bring you the pleasures of eating traditional Bavarian food.
